Heya!
So the chapter in the desert in Uncharted 3 is one of if not, THE favourite "chapter" in a video game to date for me.
I have messed around A LOT in the desert and here are some of the stuff I have managed to pull off :D.

Day 1:
Stage 1 -
Entering the desert
What did I do? -
I was able to walk backwards and force my way through the invisible walls that don't allow you to move. With that, I explored freely and even went to take a look at the crashed cargoplane without initiating the cutscene.

So I reached the conclusion that I cannot do anything in Stage 2 with the camera panning and showing the insane scenery as well as the Stage 3 one with the well, although I am going to revisit Stage 3. Stage 4 with the night, I tried to get out there but it was too hard. Anyhow this brings me to Stage 5 - Hallucinations.

Day 2:
Stage 5 -
Hallucinations
What did I do? -
I managed to once again go through the invisible wall and make my way directly to the hallucination of water and palm trees. The poem starts and fades, I see the well, but instead of going to the well, I sneak up behind Sully and there you have it. Drake and Sully in the Rub Al' Khali.

Day 3:
Stage 6 -
Hallucinations->Red Rock
After standing next to Sully, I figured I would try to go beyond what is allowed once again only this time, the level would not actually vanish like Stage 1. And thats when I saw it.. Red rocks.
Yeah, I actually went from Stage 5 (hallucination part) to Stage 6 (red rock part) without the cutscene transition. For those of you who know, the red rock part has a red-sepia-ish colored sky which really makes it feel like its hot in which Drake goes under the red rock after Marlowes dialouge. Here however, the sky stayed the same and I was managed to still trigger the dialouge and crawl up in there. The game was however unable to continue after there as it only looped the camera zooming out. Not entirely shocking xD.

Day 4:
Stage 10 -
Ah Shit->Its a ghost town!
What did I do? -
So im back! This time, I managed to lightly tap the analog backwards (going down the dune instead of up which triggers the cutscene to the desert village) and by holding up on the dpad, I was able to slowly get drake past that parameter and move freely. ..That is until he fell through the sand and was clinging ..to it XD, see below. You can see the level which is the desert village one (a rather huge one considering it actually loads from the ends of the desert, all the way to where Salim & co saves your ass. Not much I could do but yeah! Cool stuff :>
