@mazty; I have to agree with you that Nintendo really should have had a game on launch day that looked better than what PS360 has to offer, or at least on par with some of their better looking games... Hopefully they'll show something like that come next year....

Sadly looking at their hardware I doubt they will be able to surpass what this current gen offers. If the next Xbox or Playstation both use 200W or more, then the Wii U is going to find itself in deep shit.

As I've understood it the architecture is much more modern and should help with the visuals. Now, I'm no teachie, so I don't have a clue, but I'm quite sure that PS4 won't be a generational leap over Wii U, meaning Nintendo should be able to get good/decent ports of PS4 games at least.

WIthout a doubt the architecture is much more modern, however Nintendo went down a green route rather then a performance route.
For example, the 360 can reach about 170W at full load. The Wii U will onyl ever use 75W of power, and let's not forget that it's generating graphics for two screens. That is certainly impressive that they've shaven near enough 100W off the 360 and are doing more.

However, that also means that they aren't really going to be able to noticeably out perform the 360 as the power it is using isn't going to be able to give it a push much beyond the 360. If the next xbox or playstation use ~200W or even more, then they could very well be a generational leap over the Wii U as they could dedicate the entire power draw of the wii u to a gpu alone.
