Unfortunately, anything on your SD card aside from game saves are pretty much useless. Any games you have on there will have to be re-downloaded.
Thing is, the original Wii is now in my daughter's room. She was playing Animal Crossing. Now, the save that was on her Wii is now on the Wii U and it's one of those games that won't let you copy. Either she's going to have to play in the game room or she's going to learn to hate me. |
There's a homebrew app that lets you copy saves even though they're copy protected. It has no side effects, or anything to worry about. The Wii doesn't ask questions when copy INTO the console either.
Speaking of which, there's a site called wiisave.com where you can download people's 100% save files if you want. This doesn't require any homebrew to use, just copy onto SD card, then SD --> Wii.
