We seem to get this thread every year. With so many looking forward into the future, I sometimes wonder if the gamers are disappointed in retrospect at the games they were once looking forward to.

You know, I can honestly say that the last few years have been fantastic for games.  It's a personal opinion, but I think this generation has been amazing.  A lot of people prefer the NES/SNES period, but that was a time when I actually fell out of console gaming because pretty much everything was a platformer or semi-platformer.

I think my biggest let-down was RAGE, and even that was a pretty solid game.  It just wasn't anything special or revolutionary.  Honestly, my very biggest disappointment is that I can't afford everything I want.

As far as the OP, I'm more excited about The Last of Us than anything else coming up, but I do want to play Ni No Kuni.  It's funny, but I was telling my niece about the game a few days ago.  She just got a 360 and remarked that she wished there was a Totoro game.  I told her about Ni No Kuni and her face lit up--then I told her it wasn't on Xbox.  Ah, that was fun.
