I think a massive thing to factor into the will it flop or not argument isn't just about the actual sales of PSASBR it is more about can they market this in a way that gets people to actually go out and pick up some Vitas, maybe we should see a vita bundle which comes with this game included for holiday season, I know you get the vita version free if you own a ps3 version of the game, but I mean just a way to rope in completely new people to the PSvita.

Even if the vita version of this sold .250k copies of it.... but they were all people buying vitas just to have a portable smash bros style experience, that would be this game doing absolute wonders for sony.


There will be a PSASBR vita bundle and PSASBR is launching right before Black Friday. I see good first week sales for this title. People want to write it off as a rip off, but this is a big deal. It's the PlayStation version of Smash Bros. I don't care if people are bitter or hurt about it, it's still a big deal. PlayStation fans are thrilled and so should Smash Bros fans because its another similar high quality game. This is good for gamers.

As for Vita, the bundle will help and so will Cross Buy. Every one buying PSASBR is going to have a Vita version...burning a hole in their game collection, guarenteeing a game upon purchasing a Vita. Even better if they pick up one of those several other bundles avaialble this year.

Yeah that's a really cool point with the Cross buy idea, if you got someone who has their PS3 and has like... 5 or 6 games which support it, it's almost like it's costing them having that much software they can't use to not go out and pick the damn thing up and play um on the go. The system will pretty much have itself sorted for games for months after buying it like that. As for people being annoyed at it being a game in the same genre as smash brothers? I don't really think outside of a handful of a really small minority of people who wouldn't have bought the game to begin with this shouldn't really have any impact on sales at launch day.
