Why do some people think 360 will outsell PS3?

Couldn't you also use the exact same argument as the reason why you shouldn't expect too large of hardware boosts from any "killer app"?

If you have a system which had several of the largest games of the generation released within a couple of months of eachother, and it still did not produce a massive sales boost why would a similar situation have a different result for another console?
