Last night when I picked up NSBM2. I carry my 3DS with me everywhere because I play Find Mii and Puzzle Swap, which requires stupid coins, which requires for you to walk. I would meet random people here and there and then one day I must've been around Nintendo Zone and wham! I met close to a hundred people that day.
The only good/bad thing I can say about it is if you're friends with someone who you spend a lot of time with, you will keep getting that Notification that you've met someone. For instance, I must've met my gf around 300 times.
