Of course it's still enjoyable and since you know what it's like playing Fallout or The Elder Scrolls games you won't have much problems with some of the bugs.
I think after getting all updates in the 360 version and reading the walkarounds I could finish all but 1 of the bugged side quests.

Cool.

Now everybody has their opinion, but how would you rate New Vegas compared to Fallout 3? (if you try to ignore the bugs)

Not as good because Fallout 3 is my favourite game this gen, but still better than the majority of the games.

Factions are a nice touch; upgradable weapons are cool, though that feature could use even more customization options; companions are very useful because there is no level scaling for monsters and your companions deal out much more damage than you are (i didn't use any companion in Skyrim for example. Mostly because I forgot about them, but also because I didn't need one.); the map has more diverse locations this time around.

The downside is that New Vegas (the city) isn't that spectacular and that you need to pass many loading screens when going through it. The end of the main quest isn't that great either. Also the graphics are really outdated and the biggest downside for me is that the atmosphere is almost completely gone.
It's more like a Western (movie) with some weird creatures and Fallout gameplay, oh and robots.

Dammit! It's the Fallout 3 atmosphere I wanted! I recently found out that it's exactly the atmosphere in Fallout 3 I loved so much (it's awesome in many other ways too of course).

Hard to put a finger on what was so special, but it just was (atmosphere in games to me is very important). Sometimes I felt slightly depressed by it, and had actually many different emotions going inside me, but the total sum of it all was fantastic. In the period I was playing F3, but not actually playing the game at a given moment, the atmosphere was in my head and I missed it and wanted to go and play it.
