The $99 subscription XBox360 deal is exclusive to Microsoft stores only, so they wouldn't ship extra consoles for possible increased demand to anywhere but their own stores.

This is what the discussion is about right? He is talking about how MS may have shipped extra consoles to their own warehouses in the event that the deal brings in more demand than expected? Wouldn't want to start up a new deal and get caught without enough stock.

Been reading and am getting confused about this "price test" and talks about other retailers.

It was a big discussion that got out of hand, I questioned the disperance in consoles on shelves numbers between the PS3 and 360 and how some Sony fans would think that it's a normal amount at 400k whereas 1.9m 360 shelves is perfectly fine. That triggered the whole prof theory, it's possible on paper, however very out of character. He had a point with a somewhat plausible theory(Although highly unlikely) until he started flaming.
