This is all about 'perceived value'. What some people value a handheld game is different than others.
The majority of people will not pay 50+ for a handheld game and this is fact.
Doesn't matter if some people think its worth 60 or how much you clocked your game.
Of course company will try to capture the highest value they think they can get from their consumers.

For example:
$100 they sell 5: 5 ppl 'think' its worth $100
$60 they sell 20: The first 5 will buy it regardless because they think its worht 100 but they sold an additional 15 copys
$40 they sell 100. The first 20 will buy regardless, but now they got an additional 80.. etc etc

What anyone thinks about the price doesn't even matter because the market will show you the answer.
If the ps vita software tanks we will know.

Yes, I know what public perception is and I agree that getting MOST people to buy a 50 dollar portable game will be tough...but I'm mostly complaining about people on here ignorantly proclaiming that "NO HANDHELD IS WORTH 50 DOLLARS" when any true gamer knows this just plain isn't true.  It's an ignorant statement played off as undeinable fact when it's nothing more than personal opinion.

Yep I agree with you, he/she should put "imo".
