Don't know if you'll read this or even care but, I don't get people like you.

i am reading and i do care

Most people get enough satisfaction from seeing their favourite games and consoles do well, but for a small portion of people that isn't enough. No, the competition needs to do bad otherwise it doesn't count. Other people may like the products that you hate on but you don't care, probably because you care about nothing but yourself.

yes, i love seeing nintendo do well, but i have to admit it really does warm my heart to see the ps360 (360 especially) do poorly. i just like seeing it. in fact, i would even go as far to say that i would love if microsoft just disappeared from the industry as they have not done a lot to make it a whole lot better. sure, people say that they pioneered online, which they did. theyre the first to realize its potential, but we see its ugly side effects in the form of online pass and (often times) useless dlc.

You're exactly like all the haters that cried when the Wii did well and wanted everything Wii to just disappear, for the only reason that they didn't find any appeal in the Wii and it's library. If I don't like it it shouldn't exist, and everyone who thinks different can go to hell.

yes, i am familiar with those wii haters, and i remembered how they wanted nothing more than the wii to just be gone. but to them i say that they dont even know how much the wii is helping them personally. at least one console manufacturer needs to be inclusive of a demographic outside the 17 to 30 year range or else gaming as we know it would soon die off. i have explained before that nintendo is doing whatever is in the best interest of the gaming industry as a whole because that is what is going to keep them alive. if after telling them this, they want to continue thinking that the wii is destroying the industry and they want it gone, that is fine with me. if they want to encourage used sales of wii games and new sales of ps360 games, then that is completely fine with me too. lol. they can do what they want.

You even spend money to hurt the developers you hate, which is just mindblowing. Unless you're really rich, wouldn't it be better to spend that money on products that you like? If you take money that you could have bought Nintendo games for, and use that to hurt others, then you might as well give return your Nintendo club card, because you're not a Nintendo fan. You're just a non-Nintendo hater.

ok, i dont really understand where you are coming from here. i have been gaming all my life and i love nintendo as they have always given me quality games for as long as i can remember. in fact, in any top 50 games list of all times the top 20 are littered with nintendo games no matter which site makes it. its very telling. i still enjoy their games and i enjoy supporting them with my money. microsoft and sony, however.. i do enjoy a lot of the games on ps360, i just dont want to support them so i buy them used. so the money i spend is for my enjoyment, but i do spend a little extra to support a company i love.

I don't know if this fits you or not, but there's one thing that really twists my brain in all sorts of unnatural ways. Some people seem to live in some sort of mythological world where, if you destroy a genre, a certain type of games or a company then all those resources will be put elsewhere. Kill of casual gaming and all those resources will be put into making hardcore games, right? Kill of online and all those resources will be out into single player games, right? Well, that's just bloody wrong. You can destroy Microsoft but that doesn't mean that more Nintendo-esque games will be made. FPS fans won't suddenly start buying JRPS in millions if developers stop making FPS's. Those that enjoyed what Microsoft offered won't just change their minds and start liking something else. Most will either look for an alternative that offers something similar, or just quit gaming because the industry no longer offers anything for them.
You won't get anything, but a whole lot of people will lose something. Is that what you want? Are you really that selfish?

yeah i get what you are saying, but let me tackle this in two parts. the first is, i know no more nintendo-esque games will be made as a result of say, microsoft going under and deciding to leave the industry. i know this. but as i said before, it warms my heart to see them do badly because YES i do want them gone! lol. now the second part.. the conclusion you come to is 'only a whole lot of people will lose something, and you will gain nothing.' well, as you said before, if third parties cant make fps games on a microsoft console, they will just make it on another console, so those people are not really losing anything. the 360 is just a machine, the market will still exist for those games, and devs will make it for a sony or nintendo console, and the fans can play it on there. the only thing i really have to gain is the satisfaction of nintendo winning. this is their market.

To summarise: support the games you like and put your money there. If you want more Nintendo games then you buy more Nintendo games. Killing Sony or Microsoft won't give you more Nintendo games, it'll only hurt those that liked what those companies offered, and it'll decimate the industry as a whole. And that shouldn't be what you want, unless you're evil that is.

as i said before, the games on those systems would just be made on whatever other consoles are out there. i dont like sony or microsoft, so i use, again, the TINIEST bit of influence i have to get my will out there. also, when it comes down to it, its the customers choice to buy new or used. all i do is give them the option.

Excuse my rant...

dont worry about it, rants are ok (:
