There is no doubt that halo lost some of its massive prestiege it held prior to the countless of spinoffs that came out after halo 3. This year master chief is finally getting an official sequel, and I believe it's make it or break it time. If halo 4 fails to live up to expectations, it might spell the end of halo as a megafranchise above everything but CoD, Mario, Wii, and GTA.

So what do you believe halo 4 needs to deliver to gain back some of its luster and not feel like just another sequel or do you think halo games have been going the right direction already?

......excuse me

Lost its prestige?  End of being a megafranchise? Gain back luster?

Since Halo 3, Halo Wars is the best selling console RTS of all time. ODST......an expansion, outsold Uncharted 2 the same year. Halo Reach improved upon Halo 3 in almost every way (and has the sales to back it up). Halo Anniversary is the fastest selling remake of all time.

The only thing that suffered since Halo 3 was a lack of Master Chief. This will be remedied in Halo 4.
