Thats not exactly why i am surprised though.  I am not surprised that Vita is selling/preordering well but that Sony shipped far to few units (like all their other systems).  You would think that Sony would have learned, but I guess not. 

They are likely shipping everything they can at this point of time. I'd assume that for now the production capacity is limiting factor. Otherwise we would have simultaneous worldwide launch in december.

Quad core arm cpus and 5" oled screens aren't exactly common at this point of time ;)
