Why does most music made after ~2000 suck?

Linkin Park's first album, Hybrid Theory, came out in 2000, so I wouldn't really say they are from the 90's.

I also noticed somebody mentioned Dream Theater.  While they existed prior to 2000, they have released some marvelous music in the last decade.

Avenged Sevenfold has some pretty sweet music as well.

Shinedown has some amazing songs, largely due to Brent Smith's absolutely amazing voice.

Alter Bridge has some pretty sweet stuff.

Destrophy is pretty awesome.

Some of Jet's songs are cool.

There's plenty of really good bands out there, you simply have to either know where to look or listen through the not quite as good bands on the radio so you can hear the good stuff.

Nice list, forgot about some of those bands! Glad their is another Jet fan on this site. I personally think Get Born is one of the best albums of all time. 

And Avenged Sevenfold is pretty sweet too.
