I usually get a glass and a piece of paper, capture it, then fling it outside. I can't stand the thought of a spider being in my room and crawling over my face at night.
There's also a particular type of spider that really freaks me out, the big, long legged, hairy ones that move startlingly fast. I go into sort of a hunter/prey mindset whenever I see one of them.
I think I'd have a heart attack if I was in an enclosed, dark place with a lot of them.
