Thank you PoundHound.

I've had plenty of intelligent, calm debates and discussions with friends of mine about the philisophical and scientific implications of God's existence, and it'd be insulting to assume I Was unable to have an equally intelligent discussion here just because it's a forum.

Yes I am an Atheist, yes I dislike religion, but all I'm asking for here is a little equality. I'm asking for people to come forward with their reasons for believing in God in an era where so many things are demanded to be proven. Nothing can be taken on faith and even when we have proof of something (Climate Change, for example), it's still not good enough. All I'm asking is for people to take a step back from their own beliefs to actually think about why they believe, and maybe offer some insight to both sides of the coin.

I am only asking that Religion, Spirituality, God, and all forms of faith be subject to the same scrutiny that the scientific community has.

Personally, the strongest support I've seen for the existence of a god is that He is not in fact a divine creature, but a metaphor for the unknown. I'll let people dwell on that a bit before elaborating.
