3DS. It's always the games which count. We know so little about the Vita, so everything is either subjective or rumour, bar graphics (but, history has taught us graphics =/= good console).

I think psv will beat out 3ds in quality and quantity of games, psv unlike 3ds will have phone games, ps3/psv psn games and enhanced bc for psp games on psn (dual analogues will work) psv will also have more 3rd party support and nearly console level games, as well as more quality new ips (gravity daze is what I have my eye on) though 3DS has the universally known francises that sells 10 million but everyone already played them so I think people will start to get bored of them like I did

Keep grasping at straws....  PSV will have more 3rd party support because why???  Just because you got bored with the DS doesn't mean others will be bored of the 3DS.   Anyways, you entire post sounds like wishful thinking.  Nintendo games will always trump Sony especially when it comes to hand held.  I like that Sony is competing and keeping Nintendo on their toes but they are simply outclassed.  Nintendo is holding all the cards.  You can say the 3DS had a horrible launch or whatever.  You can say they don't have many games now.  You know what?? Go look at the 3DS release schedule before the holiday season.

Dude it already has more 3rd party support, 153 3rd party devs are making something for it, thats more then what 3ds has right now, if you need reasons, second analogue will attract devs that normally don't do handhelds, easy dev kit will attract devs trying to jump from phone to console or anyone that wants to make console games but can't afford it, specs and touch screen/pad will attracted people trying to make something unique, ect. and I actually got bored on gba, mainly because the pokemon and mario games are always the freaking same, I think it's only a matter of time before others start feeling the same Nintnedo needs some good new IPs and they don't seem ot be delivering them or have any intention on delivering them, and they trump sony games in sale not always in quality, and it's games are rather kiddy which may deter some people, and again with the lack of innovation in their games and Sony comming out with new IPs, Nintendo only holds 2 cards, earlier launch and more well known brands of games that's it, Sony holds the other cards

How about Nintendo holding the price cut ability card?  Sure they won't use till next year (around 2012 holiday season is my guess) but Sony will not be able to cut the price for the PSV for at least 2 years.

Sony has good hardware (might not be most reliable until after hardware revisions).  However, Sony always does a piss poor job in enticing the average consumers (not the "hardcore" elite gamer that most want to be represented as) to go with their products even with the vastly superior tech, features, etc...  Maybe most people that still buy dedicated hand held devices mainly just want a device that plays games?  To me it always seems like Sony should win in sales, but Nintendo knows their consumers better.  Again you state that you were bored with Pokemon and Mario games by GBA.  You do realize that Nintendo pushed plenty of new IPs during the DS era.  Nintendo to you might release the same Mario the same Pokemon, etc..  However, to most people that play these games they realize it is a new experience.

They don't get the price cut card till the system is atleast one year old, so no they don't hold it (though they will hold it before sony) but right now neither has it.

I know what your saying and thats the wild card, Sony has learned alot from their mistakes with the psp and the ps3, Nintendo on the other hand is doing buisness as usual, the main thing we see already is Sony releasing a console at the same price as it's competitiors something thatdidn't havppen with psp or ps3 and one of the main reasons they didn't gain traction until later, I also believe they will do a better job of advertising this time around and will consistently support the psv and not pull devs off it like they did with psp, and I didn't see anything noteworthy on DS that I haven't played before (granted not always on a handheld, but everytime Nintendo comes out with something "new" it just seems like they brushed off something old, and well I know old is new to people who weren't around when old came out, it goes both ways, new doesn't get an automatic buy because thye aren't familiar with the franchises, so I think the older will get bored and the newest could be drawn towards psv shrinking Nintnedos market unless they do something actually new
