I was thinking what if Steam is full intergrated and replace PSN store, so basically Steam and PSN store become one and you buy your games on steam and just like the mac/pc setup you can only play the games on the right system. I think this would be an great move for sony to get a leg up over MS and improve there store by giving it into the hands of valve. While Sony would get an share of the pie, valve gets access to millions of new customers on the steam store just like they did with there steamworks setup for portal 2, but this would be on a larger scale. And being that Valve would be still in control of the store this would carry over alot of the steam sales.

Other things that would be good as well if this was to happen would be you only have to buy the game once if its a both PSN and steam title, it will give publishers more of a willingness to release ps3 games on the digital distribution front. And would give more of a push for cross platform play.

I say this would give a win win situation for all, SONY will win by getting a better store they wont have to manage while still getting alot of the profits from it, valve wins by getting more customer base, gamers win because valve knows how to run a digital distribution store well.

what do you think, would you want something like this?

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong
