I'd like to add a few points here.

- There was also a motion controller designed for the Atari called Le Stick.

- The Atari 5200 was also one of the first consoles with an analog stick on its controller.

- The rumble pack for the N64 and the Dual Analog Controller w/ Rumble for the PS1 were released the same exact month in Japan.

- Sony was actually one of the first companies of recent gaming history who felt analog sticks would be beneficial for newer gaming (since the launch of the NES, many abandoned the tech), releasing an analog flight stick in '96.  Sega was another.

- Nintendo's design for its analog stick would not become the norm or even adopted by others.  However, Sony's more accurate potentiameter-based analog stick design would be, by many companies to come, including Nintendo.

And personally, I think putting 2 analog sticks on a controller, while everyone else had only used one, is pretty damn innovative.

I will not stand by and allow you to give Sony credit for ANYTHING.  Obviously, Sony spied on Nintendo when they were partners during the Snes days.  Those theiving bastards!!

Lol, you're right.  What was I thinking?  Obviously Sony is just a company made up of ninjas who break into other companies to steal their ideas.
