The flight recorders or black boxes to both planes were never found. There are 2 black boxes on every plane. before 9/11 there had only been about 7 cases when both black boxes were never found, and all 7 of those were because the plane crashed in the water or high in the mountains(19,000 feet, to expensive to retrieve). The government claims the boxes were never found, despite that never happening on land(besides at 19k feet) and eyewitness reports of seeing the black boxes.
