Has Microsoft already lost E3?

It isn't a popular opinion around here since we are all pretty much core gamers, but I am going to disagree.  E3 is the one time of the year that the regular media will actually pay attention to the game industry.  Now is a good time to try and hit the "casuals".  The core won't like it, but you could announce something like Halo 4 on some random Tuesday in the spring and everyone would know about within a few days.

The core does need to be catered to some, but their tastes are not the be-all-end-all of gaming.
