They just couldn't keep their games secret for long enough.
And I mean a year with 3 (almost) confirmed AAA exclusives (Halo Remake, Forza 4 and Gears 3) and at the very least 2 AA exclusives (Dance Central 2, Kinect Sports Season 2) is certainly not bad. (only counting the games that were present in the conference)
Obviously their show was about 2011 and not the future. Well aside from Halo 4 that is.
Sony is doing it differently and announces big games quite a bit before they are going to launch them. Killzone 2, GT5, The Last Guardian, Agent, FFVersusXIII.
That's not bad or anything, it's just different.
