You expect seriously a lower price for the NGP than what the 3DS has now? In which world do you life? The NGP is going to be a real powerfull System and will  easily outperform the 3DS performance. You may expect at least 300$ rather 350$ at the Releas. The 3DS really has a moderate price point in my opinion, 250$ is not that much. I got mine at 230$ that i a good price, the original Nintendo DS also cost 200$ at its Releas. There are only 30$ difference and the 3DS will soon get all the awesome Games.

But if you think the  NGP will offera better package for you than spar your money and wait for the NGP.

The NGP price definly wont be lower then the 3DS but i dont think itll be higher then 300$ (Well the 3G version probly will) The 3DS cost Nintendo 101-103$ to make right? Sony have said that they will be selling the NGP at a loss...This is why i find it hard to beleve the NGP will cost x3 more then the 3DS manufactoring costs if they plan to sell the NGP at a loss

i think ittl cost 249$ or 299$ for the WIFI version

But nintendo will probably price cut the 3DS before the NGP comes out anyway

I also think the bettery life should be pretty decent because of the OLED screen. Most screens on handheld devices are LCD screens with backlight behind it. But the OLED is plastic and does not need a backlight thus = it basicly uses no power at all, and we all know what consumes most of the power in handheld devices...the LCD screen and its backlight. (OLEDs are also pretty cheap to make

So what if a 3DS cost 100 dollars to make. They have to make back money that they spent in research and development, shipments and paying their employees/ rent for the company building etc. Its basic business knowledge. An Iphone 4 cost a lot less to make but is a hell of a lot more expensive than a 3DS and no one complains about that. If Nintendo is making a profit im sure its not even that much and when they make back the money for R&D thats when you will see price drops.

The 3DS still shouldn't cost that much. An ideal price would be $179.99 or even $199.99. And BTW A LOT of people on these forums complain about the prices of apple products

The price is ideal. Nintendo increased their funding in R&D over the years so they want to make back that money. Unline Sony and Microsoft who make profits elsewhere Nintendo's only profits come from games and consoles. When they make back enough money thats when you see price drops.
