I'm glad I don't have to figure this thing out.  Offenders often try to fool people by painting themselves as victims, pointing the finger, and hiding the facts.  It's the oldest trick in the book.

Now who do I think is the "offender"?  Sony or Anon?  I'll hold my peace on that one.
