Okay so lets say that it does, socoms history shows that only its major sales are only in the US and not that much in emeaa territory. Mag with 245,000 preorders before its final week ( note that its preorders are way more than socom 4's ) opened up barely 300k in america alone and another 96,000 copies in emeaa territories. If mag had more preorders than socom 4, with better reviews and a higher metacritic score and only opened up 96k in emeaa in its first week and lower in the upcomming weeks after that, with a lifetime of 1.1 million and socom never proved to sell well in emeaa, what makes you think that all of a sudden its going to open up in emeaa as the same amount as it is in the americas? Im going to assume thats what your thinkin since you made the, " itll do 300k in the US alone " statement. Then by the 10th week mag only managed to barely pass 700k. Mag with MORE preorders than socom 4 with a higher metacritic struggled to hit 1 million copies lifetime even with a price cut. Its at 1.1 million atm. If your considering pre-orders the exact estimate that it going to sale then socom 4 isnt going to beat mag out,meanin its possible that 700k or a little bit more than that might be its lifetime. People use the excuse for Socom 4, that if confrontation hit a million or mag hit a million than socom 4 can easily do it. But they have to consider the fact on HOW LONG it took confrontation to hit a million even with a price cut, confrontation came out 3 years ago and " JUST NOW " its hitting 1 million with a price cut? thats not good. Mag did better than confrontation with a liftime of barely over 1.1 million with a price cut within a year and 4 months, Socom 4 with a lower pre order count than mag ( not to mention most people pre-ordered it only for the sharp shooter ) will be lucky to hit those numbers with CONSISTANT legs in a FASTER rate than both, mainly mag. Most games nowadays only sell the most in its opening week and tend to drop lower after the upcoming weeks, MOST games that is.
