Nintendo is focused on 3DS right now, but will swing it's attention back to Wii.    Quite likely, if a Wii2 is on it's way,  a lot of development resources have been assigned to that as well.

3rd parties have pretty much abandoned the Wii.  The only 3rd party games that seem to be selling right now are Just Dance and Zumba Fitness.    De Blob 2, despite being one of best titles out so far (which isn't saying much) totally tanked.

So yeah....    but the good news that's there's some great games Nintendo has released in Japan (or soon will) that can come over anytime including - Xenoblade, The Last Story, Kirby (not Epic Yarn), Padora's Tower and quite a few other older releases too.

What I don't understand is why Nintendo isn't putting something out.   New Play Control Mario Golf, or Luigi's Mansion.  Or heck port PilotWings Resort from 3DS to Wii.      Or release a platinium sellers line with Mario Strikers Charged and such?  Or even some 3rd party classics like Rogue Squadron Trilogy (although licensing issues may not allow) or titles like Dynamic Slash, Disaster, Another Code R, Takt of Magic, etc.

It really is feeling like a dead system despite it's robust hardware sales.

I think E3 will answer a bunch of your questions. We still have Pikmin 3 and Zelda and all of those nifty JRPGs that have been the topic of discussion recently.
