It is obvious that LoS has nothing to do with SoTN but, when you consider the game "alone", without the Castlevania name, it becomes just very good. I just got the Platinum trophee from this game : I stoped finishing game at 100% YEARS ago ... but I did it with LoS because I enjoyed a lot the game !

Neverthless, to continue about the lack of link between Castlevania serie and LoS, I have read that the ancient Castlevania (before SotN) were more oriented medieval fantasy than vampire "rock" fantasy and so were not that far from LoS according to some old fans that really enjoyed LoS

Finally, I recon putting religion in the game was useless and play agaisnt it. Also, the end and the final boss is a pity and a big error from the game developpers. Neverthless, the very last cinematic is ... interesting. All depend of what they do after. 

 

Id reply with my thoughts on LoS but it would de-rail the thread to a point of no return... :)
