Neither do I have a record ;). But who knows what they're interested in?
Quebec, as I hear, is more lenient on immigration laws - but either way, I don't think that any part of Canada is particularily keen on accepting people with a record. All checks are done by the embassy before you're given a visa so taht covers who's in and who isn't.
