It's still a sales flop in my eyes. Weren't they working on the game for like five years?

Now before you jump on me for calling a game that sells one million copies a flop, I'd like to remind you that I consider Super Mario Galaxy a flop as well.

So what, if you consider it a flop? Its not a flop period. Some people claim that GTA4 is a flop, yet it has shipped 20 million. 1 Million for a new ip is not that bad, its not super good, but definitely not bad.

There are more factors to it than it simply being a new IP. It's not as black and white.

A new IP that took only a short time to develop from a relatively unknown development studio? Sure, that would be a great success.

This is Remedy, the former developers of the 7 million selling Max Payne, who have taken 5 years to get this title out the door. They went exclusive, and 'bet the farm' as they stated on this title being a success.

As many others have mentioned the game went to the bargain bin fast, and you can check the sales on this site. They are dissapointing.
