I don't know why anyone thinks the next one is going to have wii in it's title and personally I think the next nintendo console won't have motion controls or atleast not have it as the default, I think nintendo is going to back to a more traditional design

Yes after they found success in motion and got copied by the competition they are going to go backwards instead of forewords >_>

They are going to improve on what they have and give us something new on top of that

Have you played any of the games released on wii by nintendo recently? They are using the classic controller design and remaking games from the snes era and have all but abandoned motion control, the wii was sucessful the first time around but I doubt it would be a second time and I think nintendo feels the same way they had the shock and wow factor back then, now the mindset would be more what more shovelware I'll pass

you seem to have forgotten a game called Zelda SS ;)

when they see that motion can add to the gameplay they will add it, if not then they will do it the old way

no I haven't, it's just it seems clear to me and probably nintendo that more games would suffer from motion controls then benefit

If that was the case then they wouldn’t do Zelda SS Motion exclusive. Motion if done right will add not limit gameplay. Though just like this gen, next gen will also have the option to do games in a traditional way

I don't think you read my original post, and I remain on my position the next wii console won't have default motion controls, and it will be a decent control, not just a few buttons

Yes I did read it and I am 100% sure they will focus on motion and improve on it and have it so that you can play the traditional way like they did this gen. they will add buttons but not so many as they want to attract as many people as they can and not scare them away.

I don’t think you know Nintendo very well. They want to include as many games and none gamers as they possible can as that is how you make the most money.

I’ll try to make a mock-up controller to show you how it can be done

Frankly I just don't see it as the default controller, people seem to just be expecting nintendo to do it and have no real reason behind it other then the fact that they sold alot only time will tell though

Well my reason would be it is more fun to swing a sword in Zelda than pushing a button as it brings you in to the game.

Now you can play bowling at home if you can’t take the entire family out. For me this is good as I have a sister in a wheelchair. We can all enjoy some tennis or golf or play wario with some goofy moves and laugh at each other. You can have hardcore and fun casual games a lone or with the family and that was not possible before. At least not on the same level of fun as it is now :)

Move does both but ps3 still has a standard controller as default
