I think MS are holding off the showboating till Kinect crosses the 10M mark. Although MS did release the 8m shipment data at the end of the year whereas there was no word from Move.

Kinect sales are droping pretty fast, partly because it got an artificial boost from massive commericials and the holiday, it was launched at the best time to make the most sales in a short time but I just don't see it's sales holding very high so maybe MS doesn't want to draw attention to the fact that the sales are dropping and frankly I don't think Sony cares about showboating at all they like the sales and have mentioned it's a slow burn unlike kinect 

Define this "artificial" sales you talk about in regards to Kinect? Regardless of advertising or not, sales are sales. I've also seen a lot of commercials for Move... so I'm assuming that's artificial too? What about when games are marketed on TV a lot? Is that artificial?

not artificial sales, artificial inflatement of sales and yes move had some artificial inflament around the holidays too everything does but not as much as kinect
