Her opponent ran the below add during the campaign.  While not related to the shooting, hopefully in the future people will NOT associate shooting a gun with removing someone from office.

 

It's amazing how the rats will scurry, now that this has happened...as if we should be surprised that lighting a match in a gas filled room caused an explosion.

And how can you be sure that this is not political at all?  You can't, so to claim that it has nothing whatsoever to do with the shooting is just as irresponsible as those claiming it is directly responsible.
