DS will pass PS2 in December Jarrod. Pass isn't really the right word, its more like streak by it with a lead over 2 million units.
Also, if Wii does 3m ish in December in the USA, which is likely given Nov 2010 > Nov 2009 and similar promotions in Dec are in place from last year, it will only be about 10-11m behind PS2 lifetime in the USA.
Moreover, the PS2 had only seven months in the USA where it topped 1m (Dec 2001, Nov 2002, Dec 2002, Dec 2003, Dec 2005, Dec 2006, Dec 2007.), while Wii is on its seventh month in the USA over 1m now (Dec 2007, Nov 2008, Dec 2008, Nov 2009, Dec 2009, Nov 2010, and obviously Dec 2010). I would assume Wii has at least two more months over 1m in the USA. If December 2010 gets to 3m, 47% of Wii sales in 2007-2010 in the USA will be over Nov and December. In fact, 31% of Wii sales in that period would be sold in December. So if that were to continue, in theory as long as 3.25m Wiis are sold in the USA Wii will have a 1m December. That probably won't hold though.
Realistically there could another > 1m Wii Nov-Dec in 2011 (1.05m / 2.5m?). Then probably > 1m in Dec 2012 (1.8m?) and Dec 2013 (1.1m?). That will likely be it.
