If someone invaded your country would you fight back?

It depends. If the invading country esentially treats me as a second class citizen, not giving me any rights and persecuting me (like the empires who ruled over the region where Romania is currently located), I'd definately join or found some sort of resistence movement.

However if the invading country treated me like any other citizen of it's empire, allowing me all the rights and freedoms that any other citizen has, then I'd have no problem with it. It would probably be a good thing in the long run.

If you want to create a alrge empire, you need to create an assimilation plan where the conquered populations eventually are assimilated and become equal citizens of the empire, or else people will eventually rise up and the empire will crumble.

If that's all you got from my post, you should try reading it again once or twice.

you were talking about whether they took your rights away or not, something that could only happen after they have invaded and taken over. So in regards to the question posed by the op you would not take up arms if your country was invaded, but you when't on to  if they started impeding your rights you would start a resistance.

Considering how the OP worded his post I assumed the country had already been invaded, and he was asking if I'd become like the Iraqis fighting the American invaders.

If the country was on the brink of being invaded I'd make my choice taking into account the current conditions in my country and the intentions of the invaders.
