For me the dual analog controller has always been counter intuitive. Standard controls bring me out of the game instead of letting me get into the game. As such, they have been a barrier for me playing FPS games on consoles. I realize that this is not everyones experience, but it has been mine. I have been enjoying shooters on computers since I started playing the original Wolfenstein on my Apple II , and now I can also enjoy them on my Wii, thanks to some very good motion controls. I understand that you have a lot of time invested in using standard controls and do not want to be left out of the fun, but I do not want to be left out of the fun either. Games like the new GoldenEye do it right allowing every control method to be used and making sure that they all work great.
