I did a close to a year commissioning course but then no further training. It was mainly because of my (by then pretty sick) ex-military grandfather.

Most I've ever vaguely considered was a technical job, but it's too much personal responsibility and too many restrictions. I'm also pretty certain sooner or later some policy on how things are supposed to be done would drive me to loathe my job.
 As for an actual potentially fighting job, I just couldn't do it. Not to mention I've had a couple of accidents, and in every single case I've either fainted before the impact or right after it, so it's not like I'd trust myself to get away or save anyone if I get injured. >_> I also faint half the time when having a blood test.
