No.

It's not like I don't support our troops or anything.

But I'm what one would classify as a coward.

The Idea of being in a proffession where I could be activly fighting other people for my life seems like a bad idea.

Plus having no real control over where you go and what you do...

few things in life sound worse to me then military life.

Absolutely concur with your sentiment. I'm a man of art anyway so unless I was making some kind of film for the military I can't really see how I could get involved.

Yeah, I have no artistic talent but i'd make a bad soldier anyway.

As shown by my avatar.

Combined with shakey hands, injection injury phobia and in general uneasiness around blood espiecally my own and the fact I wear glasses now.

Even if I wasn't a coward, as a modified quote... "I wouldn't want to be part of an army that would have me."

Granted there are plenty of non fighting jobs... but who knows if you'd be guranteed one of those and honsetly... I'd do poorly in a situation where you are stuck via basically law in the same spot for most of your freetime.

I mean,  I spend most of my free time in the same spot anyway, not very outgoing, but to have to do it as part of my conditions for working would drive me crazy.

Some people shouldn't fight unless its absolutely neccesary. My Grandfather is a perfect example of that. A man who was an inventor and had considerable skill in engineering and science but simply wasn't built for combat.

He worked with Sonar (or something like it) for the Australian military during ww2 but at some point its of my understanding that they were attempting to get these people to fight. He was able to avoid it thankfully.

Personally I'd only fight if Australia was directly invaded, I don't think anything else could really make me sign up. Not that I'd be much use.
