I've mentioned this previously but Microsoft is smartly (IMO) being very targeted with Kinect advertising. "You are the controller" period.
Once that has been established in the public's mindshare...then hybrid games are sure to come.
I will not guess on the quality of that implementation, but I think it's very shortsighted to assume that you COULD NOT integrate Kinect in core games.
