there hasn't been, but if you asked people in 2005, if you woulda expected versus to be released by 2011. Or FFXIII to be released before 2010 for that matter. the answer woulda been yes, to most people. Thus, the psychological date keeps going back.

Dev cycles aren't normally 5-7 years
