Yet another 'on rails' game is destined to failure and abysmal sales.   Why even bother to make the game at all?

Plus Wii owners have shown to be far more discriminating than this is given them credit for.

Honestly, I have no clue why Ubisoft thinks this is a good idea.

Then again, they did give Wii an honest to goodness real PoP game, which recieved better reviews than the HD versions, only to have it sell like sh--.   So they have reason to think it not worthwhile to spend a lot on Wii games.

Your comments suggest that Ubisoft did not bring this upon themselves. Go back and look at the games that they developed for the Wii prior to this game. You will see that this company is one of the biggest shovelware developers for the Wii. They themselves turnished their name and this is why Wii owners stay away from thier products. They should have thought about protecting thier brand  but they did not. Instead they went for the quick bucks with cash ins and are now reaping what they sowed.

Far be it from me to defend Ubisoft.   They have been very inconsistant on Wii with some really good stuff - Just Dance, PoP, Rabbids Go Home, some pretty good - Red Steel 1,2, RRR 1-3, Shaun White 1,2, My Fitness, Your Shape and a lot of complete crap.

But to some degree everyone is guilty of that, Activision most hienously, although they also give Wii CoD,  EA, SE (My Pony), Sega and even Nintendo themselves (Donkey Kong Barrel Blast, Pikachu Pokepark)  So I don't think the Ubi brand mattered that much in the end.

Yeah, actually it does. Not one of the other companies that you named has flooded the Wii and stuffed the retail chain with more shovelware than Ubisoft. Activision has a better track record with the Guitar hero games and Call of Duty. Nintendo should never be used as an example. Just look at all the games they've released for the Wii. No other company on the platform can compare to them. EA and Sega are not good developers period but they have not poisioned their brand by releasing as many shovelware titles  as Ubisoft.

I could continue to argue and prove my point further but all you have to do is go and look at the games that they've developed for the Wii, that's the proof. Now I'll rest my case. There is no more evidence I need than that.

Without question Nintendo has the best ratio of quality, but Ubisoft has made some quality games on Wii and their brand hasn't hurt Just Dance or Rabbid sales.   PoP failed epically on all systems, but for Wii it's uncommonly good while merely average on HD.  Red Steel 2 simply wasn't a full game and wasn't really all that good.  Again, I don't think the Ubisoft brand had an impact.  It was the games themselves that succeeded or failed on their own.

As for Ubisoft publishing crap, yes, I agree they do.  A lot!  But also some gems like NMH2 which also failed epically.
