I am surpised by the negative comments here. If not even VGC is impressed with this game, Epic Mickey will have a hard time selling even a million copies.

That's the Nintendo fans. Since the day the Wii was launched "core" owners kept praying for good 3rd party support in numerous threads, but when something really promising, fresh and unique like Epic Mickey comes along, many (not all) of them will ignore it any day for upcoming Nintendo games which are on their wishlist (at the moment either Kirby, Donkey Kong or Metroid or a combination of those) and magically keep them from buying non-Nintendo games.

Epic Mickey is not the first game, there are other examples. Yesterday the Anno/Dawn of Discovery game for Wii - one of the few economic/building sims for consoles - was mentioned in another thread and when I called the franchise a huge success on PC and a flop on Wii, people told me that they've never heard of this game, that it was "stealth released" and that the publisher "didn't care" about the game.

IMO only the "casual" gamers can make Epic Mickey's a success, it seems it's already lost to many  "core" gamers before it's even released.
