The problem here is the use of the term 'phasing out'. Like they're getting rid of it or something. They're not, they're just discounting a game which isn't selling alot per week and there is an abundance of stock, something very common in the UK with almost all games and which will inevitably (And already is) happen to the PS3 version.
There is no story here, except a games retailer is selling a game. Pretty much all games released in the UK go dirt cheap within 6 weeks, FFXII is no except.
