Valve have been saying over and over that it wasn't ready to support the PS3 and that the Orange Box on the PS3 was... I can't remember the exact wording, but they weren't proud of it. It was EA who ported it regardless.
Portal 2 was announced for 360 and PC, and now it's on PS3 as well, so Valve first "real" PS3 game, and it will have Steam Cloud integration, that's pretty exciting I think.
