But Im almost ready to say that it's the other way around - all these games that you see hit the bargain bins quickly are usually failures and didn't meet sales estimates and therefore didn't make profit (Unreal Tournament 3, Prince of Persia, Alone in the Dark, Stranglehold, Haze, Mirrors Edge etc). While a profitable game keeps it's launch price for a longer time (Blizzard and Bethesda games come to mind). |
Actually ive come to think of it that there's alot more truth to yours. Heavenly Sword was just an exception lol. If i recalling reading the 'requirements' to becoming a PS3 Greatest Hits, some games that went GH didnt even reach it. I think Warhawk was one.
I wish they followed the requirements so when i look at a GH game i'd know that they're GH because they're successful. But now when imma look at a GH game im going to question that game's success. (Unless its an obvious game that did amazing sales lol)
