Sales obviously won't reach the same incredible level of the first game, but it's a guaranteed cash cow. Also, it's actually only every four years because summer and winter olympics are vastly different, so oversaturation is rather unlikely. Plus, as I already said, there are plenty of events that Sega could add into future games and additionally there's always the possibility of more fantasy events to prevent the games from getting stale.

Luckily, Sega has found an IP that will consistently bring home the bacon, at least for the immediate future.

Poor financial quarters always can look forward to the next "M&S game" and they have Nintendo to thank. I guess they could always 'reinvent the wheel" if it gets stale or something.

As far as I know, people rush yearly editions of sports games.... so even if you think it'll be repetitive, you have to consider that the olympics are only every 4 years... so much to rework... heck you'll barely have 2 games of each olympics per gen...
