There shouldn't be 'a genre' that any developer or platform focuses on. The whole point of gaming and really any industry is to provide variety and depth with many different products for all walks of life. I personally think we need MORE variety and MORE devs taking chances with new ideas. Instead of the same old crap or the new wave which is to take one genre and then try cramming another in a foolish combination. Don't get me wrong, some ideas work well but often times they just add 'light RPG' elements to try and get more sales. In general devs need to go back to the old days where they focused on FUN and NOT PROFITS.... I know, it rarely happens but I can dream :)
