Maybe they'll at least smooth the framerate, get rid of screen tearing, and add AA this time. Honestly, I'd prefer that to better textures or higher poly models.

wrong genre, who gives a damn about graphic astounding JRPGs?

I've played and enjoyed plenty of games that aren't graphical powerhouses, but it's not unreasonable to expect at least some improvement between games, even if only a little.

And if graphics don't matter, why comment on a thread regarding screenshots?  These shots only serve to show us what the game will look like.  Graphics are really all we can talk about in a thread like this.
