Let me introduce you one of the biggest and most popular toys from the early 80's
This's the Simon, this thing basically light each color at ramdom sequences and the players have to repeat the same sequence ..... and that's all. Yes it's simple, didn't take a lot to elaborate and it isn't a secret that it's made of cheap plastic and chips. So why was so popular?
Because it's a good product everybody can play it, understand it and enjoy it at their own way. Videogames can be good products if they follow those rules, sometime you get good games that are good products (like NSMB) other you have good games that are terrible products (like Okami) and yes good products that are terrible games (Just Dance)
