Congratulations Chinatown Wars! I loved it and am happy to see it break the million sales barrier. Whoever said it was the biggest flop never saw the GTA on the GBA. That game was horrible gameplay-wise and sales-wise, and could only fit a few cars on the screen at a time. So when you drove full speed you almost saw no cars.

And stop making excuses for the PSP version. The Resident Evil 4 port on the Wii matched what it sold on the GC with a smaller userbase. The Okami port on the Wii sold twice as much as the PS2 version, with a much much much smaller userbase. It's possible for a port to outsell the original if it has the right marketing and the right kind of fans. If you believe the DS crowd didn't gobble this game up by the millions because they're all casuals, then you need to also believe that the PSP crowd liked it even less because they all bought their PSPs for porn and piracy instead of games.

Everybody talking about userbase sizes obviously has never looked at our sales charts here, which we post every week, for free, at the top of the front page. If userbase mattered, then all the best-selling games of all time would be on the PS2, which had the biggest userbase of all time. There's no PS2 game in the top 10. Userbase size does not matter. Bigger userbases are more diverse and crazy.
