Yeah, in some cases they're separated by brand. It's like splitting Nintendo and the Pokemon Company in Japan.
For separate brands, or companies who are really subsidiaries, and could be combined in the charts...
- Electronic Arts should include EA Sports and MTV Games (not owned, but they're the distributor/publisher for Rock Band)
- Activision should include Red octane (wholly owned)
- Namco Bandai should include D3 Publisher (wholly owned)
- Konami should include Hudson (majority owned, exclusive distributor)
- 2K Play, Global Star, Rockstar Games, 2K Games, 2K Sports should all be listed a s Take 2 Interactive
